Estancia Hosteria El Ceibo

This experience exceeded our expectations. Amazing! The staff were all very attentive and catered to our needs. Jose took us on tours and communucated with us well as primarily English speakers. Jose and Carmen were so warm and friendly, taking time to explain the operations, history, wildlife and plant life of the estancia. Mario took great care with us as beginning horseback riders. We actually helped herd sheep and fed a baby lamb. So much fun! The food prepared by Patrice was home made and amazing! She even prepared vegetarian dishes. Overall, the experience was our best memory of Uruguay. Highly recommended! Appreciation is extended to all the staff who made us feel special.

The surrounding location was beautiful and a great place to stay and enjoy. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the food was really good and plentiful. We enjoyed the horse riding and going with the owner and his jeep to explore the grounds. And taking a walk with all the dogs was really relaxing and fun.

Maybe include a price list of how much everything costs (meals, horse riding etc.) at the start, which would give a better indication beforehand.

We enjoyed our time at the estancia riding horses, learning about the farm, and enjoying the peaceful setting.
