Devils Falls at the Luxury Hafod Hotel Aberystwyth

We love the Hafod Arms Hotel. We had our post-wedding meal there last March and stayed there the night before and the night of our wedding. We wanted to go back there as close as possible to our first wedding anniversary. The location in very close proximity to the three bridges at Devil’s Bridge is divine as are the marvellous views to the front of the hotel. The staff were attentive, professional and homely. All an absolute asset to the hotel. The refurb has been very tastefully done. We loved the alterations in the dining area where the bar is. Lovely. Our food was lovely for the evening meal we had aling with 5 family members (although my linguine initially arrived slightly cool so I had it reheated… then it was deliscious). Breakfast was gorgeous. The shower in our bedroom was fabulously hot and powerful.

As my husband suffers with an athritic hip the walk up the four flights of stairs to our room - Bryn Copa - was a challenge. If a lift is not an option then I suggest that tge guests’ mobility ought to be verified before they are given a room so far up. The water pressure in the sink was down to a trickle after a short initial spurt.

Breakfast was really nice and simple, I went for the full English. For my evening meal I had 3 courses , the food was excellent, nicely presented and everything tasted great. My room was perfect, the bed was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was extremely good with a large easy to use shower. I wish I had more time to explore the area of Devils Bridge.
