Stay On The Hill - The Coach House

Beautiful setting, really peaceful. Easy check in. Excellent communication. Directions provided before arrival were very useful. It was great to have access to a small fridge at a small extra cost. I was also able to extend my check out at a small extra charge with no fuss. I was here for a race so spent little time in the accommodation but nothing to fault really

It would be nice to have access to kitchen facility but it was clear on the website that this was not available.

Room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Many attractive decorations and furnishings. Nice and quiet

It was cold and the owner only came to fix the radiator after the fourth text or call. It was disconcerting not to be met and greeted though this was explained in the instructions. It would have helped to have a second armchair. The written directions were unclear causing anxiety finding the property. Clearer signage along the approach road would help. The impersonality of the process was the maim problem.

Stayed previously and will again, clean and comfortable, good size room.

This treasure is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from all the stress and hassle of life! The area and gardens are stunningly beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The Tyne room is just perfect as well! It is as if one is instantly transported in the very best of the 19th century. The room is large, with high ceilings and is decorated in that era. The bathroom is large, with all the modern amenities, yet is still fits perfectly with the rest of the room and house. The bedding is rich and fluffy and the pillows are down and fabulous! Can’t say enough good about this stay!

The hosts didn’t communicate well at all. We never received instructions on how to access the room and received no response when we emailed or texted. We arrived within the listed check-in times but still ended up waiting over half an hour before we were able to make connections (our international phone service wasn’t working well, either).

Lovely property, beautiful location. Single lady traveller for work reasons, so lovely and quiet for winding down. Secure car park and felt safe.

Lack of plug sockets makes getting ready a little tricky but it’s manageable. I couldn’t open the bedroom window but the bathroom window opens fine.

Location and accommodation great, would certainly go back and stay
