Das sehr gepflegte Haus in Hanglage etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums bietet vom Garten einen sensationellen Blick über die Bucht von Oban, ist aber fußläufig in nur 15 Minuten erreichbar, so dass das Auto stehen bleiben kann. Die Räumlichkeiten im traditionellen Stil bieten alle Annehmlichkeiten, von der Bibliothek bis zur gepflegten Bar. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Unser Zimmer ("Gylen Castle") war für 2 geöffnete Koffer etwas klein, aber das war uns bei der Buchung klar und für 2 Nächte ging's. Dafür war das Bad und speziell die Dusche traumhaft! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und es gab einen Kofferservice, für den wir bei der etwas steilen Treppe dankbar waren. Klare Empfehlung!

Spectacular property on the verge of Oban, but within walking distance. Beautiful and super comfy rooms, incredible whisky tasting experience with a very nice bartender, quiet, and - most of all - kids free premises. Wonderful place!

A country lodge atmosphere on the edge of town, great bar staff, comfortable beds, lovely food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Would you believe the hot temperatures in Oban made the rooms too warm at night! Disappointed we didn’t know they now do dinners - found out when we left, would have been great to explain on arrival.

My wife and I spent three nights at the hotel. The room was clean (and to our surprise the snacks were replaced every day :-) ) Unfortunately, being a hotel room, there was some noise from the corridor, but since we were quite tired, this was not a big problem. The room was clean. and had all the necessary equipment. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant staff were polite, they seemed a bit stiff to us, probably out of fear of the boss, who kindly distinguished between the guests. The restaurant was mostly small for the number of guests, when we arrived they were even eating in the lobby in front of the reception. We never managed to have dinner in the restaurant, perhaps because of the already mentioned narrow frame set. Basically, the hotel is good, in a good location for exploring the island of Mull.

Beautiful hotel. Food was delicious and the staff were fantastic.

We weren’t allocated a room and it was left to us to decide who would get the room with the ocean view. I was very unhappy about this.
