Fair View Cottage

Riyash, is a really friendly and helpful 'manager'. He was the guy who welcomed us, gave us tips and joined us on the 4am Ella Rock Hike. We really liked him around us, he made our stay even better. It's really nice that the Cottage (there are only 3 cottages, 2 couple ones and one family duplex) is in the centre of Ella, but in a peaceful environment, away from the busy city centre. The location is great! The breakfast was excellent! We could choose when to eat and they brought fresh breakfast to our cottage. Dahl, roti, fresh fruit, tea, fruit juice, ...

Nothing! Excellent stay, will definitely recommend this stay!

Sehr schönes Häuschen, täglich wechselndes Frühstück; sehr lecker 😋 Gute Lage und trotzdem sehr ruhig! Der Manager Rias ist sehr freundlich und in allen Bereichen sehr hilfsbereit!

….die Treppen zum hochsteigen sind nichts für schwache Beine 😉

Washroom hygiene, Owner contacted me on my personal WhatsApp number asking me, along the line “our staff carried your bags, what else do you want” As mentioned above staff was great. Also staff has been compensated for helping to carry bags. Also to mention if your location had easier access, help would be necessary

We had a wonderful stay in this great accommodation! The location was great and we were within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and famous sights. The cabin was very nice, comfortable, and simply cozy. We enjoyed the small terrace with its fantastic view every morning while having a delicious breakfast. The breakfast was very varied, authentic, and plentiful. The host (Kalai) was fantastic and always had an open ear for us. He also gave us good tips for activities in the region. Highly recommended! Thank you very much for the wonderful time there!

The host or the individual helping us throughout the stay was amazing. He definitely was doing the above and beyond. He helped us with nearby attractions, provided us a great Tamil style dinner and breakfast!

Du Unterkunft an sich war sauber und gepflegt. Die Betten waren bequem und die Lage ruhig aber trotzdem zentral. Viele Vögel kann man vom Balkon beobachten, Streifenhörnchen oder sogar Affen, die ganze nah am Cottage entspannen. Das Team war sehr lieb und aufgeschlossen und haben uns immer bei Fragen weiter geholfen oder Tipps gegeben. Mit Riyash als unser Guide sind wir gemeinsam morgens auf den Ella Rock gewandert. Wir können zudem wärmstens das Abendessen von Riyash empfehlen. Wir haben uns zweimal verwöhnen lassen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es ist im Vergleich relativ teuer aber es hat sich auch gelohnt. Sowohl er beim Abendessen als auch beim Frühstück wurde auch auf unsere Vorlieben eingegangen. Hätten wir westlich Frühstücken wollen, hätte das Team das möglich gemacht.

Durch die Regenzeit und wofür die Besitzer nichts können, war es sehr feucht im cottage. Das Bad empfand ich selbst als sehr kalt und ungemütlich, weil es eben feucht und in Kombination mit dem Betonboden kalt war. Was jedoch toll war: es gab wärmere Bettwäsche und eine Klimaanlage

This cottage is exceptional! It was clean, comfortable, had all amenities and some extra (they even provided us with toothbrush and toothpaste) there was a big walk in shower also! The breakfast was exceptional the host even nicer! The internet connection is strong, there is a smart tv also! The upstairs room had a small balcony overlooking the green outside it was very relaxing! 10/10! I would return anyday!

The nicest host ever and most beautiful room. Everything was really nicely decorated and high quality. Deepal (the host) was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing and brought to our veranda every morning at the time we arranged. We had a nice hotel organised for our stay but they turned out to be full so we booked Fair view cottage instead and couldn’t be happier with how it worked out.

The view was amazing and the welcome was great. Very helpful staff! Our driver was cautious about the road so a member of staff carried our cases to him, impressive. It rained heavily and the placement can get slippery so keep your balance. It is down a side road so if you are a solo traveller keep that in mind. This was a great place for a great price. Breakfast on the balcony was a nice touch and we saw a giant squirrel which we haven't seen before.

Due to the weather the room was quite cold and the heater did not work. (It's an AC heat converter)
