Fair View Cottage

Owned by kind and helpful people, this was the perfect stay for my friend and I whilst on our trip to Sri Lanka. It is a 10 min walk from the station which made it very convenient after getting the train. It is also located close to the walking trail heads! We also thoroughly enjoyed the outstanding breakfast included in our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, and everything was clean, tidy, and modernly furnished. It was a pleasant surprise to find a fridge in the room, which is quite rare in Sri Lanka. The place is peaceful, the breakfast was satisfying, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming.

No hot water both nights. They had to fix it. Even though online it says they accept card they told us their card machine broken and we had to pay by cash

This place is very good. Centrally located and walking distance from main attractions (I didn’t took a tuk tuk in Ella to go anywhere) but not in the center of the busy strip of the town. The breakfast was very good, the room clean and comfortable, and the toilet modern. The owner and the staff were also very nice and made everything to make my stay comfortable. I recommend this place if you stay in Ella.

We loved the location of this property, we didn’t need to take tuktuks anywhere as it was so central. The bed was really comfortable and the atmosphere was lovely with monkeys climbing trees nearby and great views. The staff, especially Isham, were so lovely and helpful!

The shower was difficult to operate, you either got boiling hot water or cold. Maybe we were doing it wrong. WiFi was patchy.
