Beautiful property with amazing grounds and views. The apartment was spacious and had everything we required Beds were huge! We enjoyed the breakfast overlooking the Tuscan hills. A little off the beaten track but that added to its charm and peaceful walks.

The whole look and feel was beautiful. It was authentic, rustic, peaceful, had magnificent views and had Tuscan charm. The room was great with everything you could need. Fantastic location and only a short drive from several towns in the Tuscan region making it a great base to explore

The location is stunning. The dinner was amazing, so it’s the restaurant.It was a little bit cold, so it would be more hostile if the staff turned the fireplace on.

It is an old castle, so the rooms are not isolated and therefore you can hear other guests talking, taking shower,…etc. They have an amazing hot-tub and sauna, but it is extra charged and you have to reserve it one day before.

We had a lovely stay overall and the setting is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, full of character, and exactly the kind of Tuscan atmosphere you hope for. The property itself is charming and very relaxing. There were also some standout positives. The massage was absolutely amazing – truly one of the highlights of the stay. The jacuzzi and sauna facilities were excellent and very well maintained. The reception staff and waiters were also extremely attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. freshness. The food experience was a real disappointment and did not match the standard of the rest of the hotel. At breakfast, the issue was not variety but freshness. Most of the cakes, like the ricotta tart appeared to be repeatedly taken in and out of refrigeration over several days without proper supervision. The pancakes were very hard and clearly not fresh, likely sitting out for multiple days. Same sausages in the hot spot for days and same boiled eggs for few days. Overall, the breakfast felt poorly managed, with little attention to quality control or freshness. There was no chef in the morning monitoring the quality of the food. The same girl that was guiding us to the table was in charge of top up, make coffees and wash in the back. Chef would appear at the end of breakfast only. Dinner was equally underwhelming. Despite the beautiful setting, the food lacked quality, care, and consistency, with limited options that did not change much from day to day. It’s worth noting that if you stay for one or two nights, you might not notice these issues. However, over a longer stay like ours (7 nights), it becomes very clear that the same food is being repeated and that freshness and variety are lacking. After a few days, we decided to dine elsewhere rather than continue spending around €100 per night on meals that did not meet expectations. I’ve worked in hospitality for many years so I under some days certain a foods aren’t available but you can say this upfront and not day after day 2-3 starters and 2 mains unavailable per day. It’s a real shame, because with proper attention to food quality and kitchen management, this place could be outstanding.
