Avril is a superb hostess and she has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Kind, willing and very helpful and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Very hot water and good heating. Real cotton sheets/bedding, comfortable mattress and crisp white towels. We were upgraded to the family room. Beautiful countryside unobstructed views. Little extras in the room such as boxes of tissues, cottonwool pads, and DVD player. Exceptional breakfast. My partner and I stayed 3 nights and on offer was the normal English full Breakfast, Kippers, Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon, fresh fruit (we had Strawberries, Blackberries, Grapes, etc...), Cereals, Filter Coffee, Juice, Yoghurt...This is a very quiet and peaceful area but there's lots to see in under a half an hours' drive. Lots of country pubs in and around this area. If you want peace and quiet with outstanding views, this is the place to stay. We can definitely recommend this accommodation. Julie & Steve
