Alagoas Park

We were Self Catering but the complimentary eggs from the owners free range chickens were very much appreciated. We were invited to join them for a typical Portuguese meal on two occasions. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The location was beautiful and at night you could hear nothing except the frogs in the pond. If you a looking for solitude to enjoy the sun and a pool then this is the place.

We had more rain than Portugal usually enjoys at this time of the year (March) but it was much needed for the gardens. It was also very windy and quite cold on some days. You will definitely need a car as the property was not near any shops or amenities.

The location was so quiet, it was really lovely even though the weather wasn't great when I was there. The owners were super friendly, even to the point that they gave me some eggs that their chickens had laid for breakfast, some of their oranges, and some food that they had cooked that night. I was not used to that level of hospitality, it was lovely!

The house was equipped with pretty much everything I needed, but what follows is potentially the most niche and needless criticism of all time. The house had pots, pans, herbs and spices etc, but didn't have any olive oil (as far as I could tell, I may have missed it). If you would be turned off a holiday home because of a lack of olive oil then God help you!

Paradise! It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge after a hectic stay in Lisbon

Friendly owner, excellent accomodation, big nice garden, Friendly little happy dog. Price was exceptionally low

No washing machine but it's on the pictures, The picture with the wine barrel isn't the accomodation. Probably the owners house
