Thames Head Wharf - Historic Cotswold Cottage with Stunning Countryside Views

The cottage was beautiful and the countryside was stunning. The place was really close to the Source of the Thames River, which was unfortunately dry when we went but locals said we wouldn't have been able to see it if it was in full swing as the place would be under water. The room was cozy but warm, the bathroom was clean and it was just enough for our short break away from the city. Ann was a wonderful host. She gave us some recommendations for restaurants and sights to visit. Would love to go back there in the future. I would say this is not the place you want to go to if you like the buzz of a town but it was perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city. It was quiet, peaceful and we saw deer when we walked out of the cottage. Truly stunning!

Clean, comfortable rooms in a private house. Heated blanket. Kind, discreet host. Nice garden.

Erratic hot water. No cooked breakfast.

I like the staff and the view and the smart TV plenty of give away drinks and snacks😍

Lovely location, Ann was very friendly, the cottage was very clean and the facilities excellent. We had a lovely stay.

The cottage was in a great location, only a few minutes from the town and local restaurants. The view of the Thames head was stunning. Our room was very clean with complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks, which we did not expect. We had a lovely time and will definitely go back again.

The host Ann was delightful. The snacks in the room and the view were wonderful. I needed a rest in a lovely environment and that’s what I got!
