Wild fig Cottage

Great view. Cottage is ok, but none of the conventional signs of hospitality, e.g. small welcome hamper with a few coffee and tea bags.

Access via dirt road not well suited for standard rental cars even in dry conditions. Should be a challenge after heavy rains. Unfriendly phonecall at 10am sharp whether one has vacated the property, then follow up calls even though the cottage is locked and alarm activated. Seems like host hospitality is too limited to tolerate guests even just standing in their parking half an hour after check-out. Scarily small rainwater tank as the only water supply of the property.

The views are beyond expectation, it is a hidden GEM!

Unfortunately the WiFi, was not working.

The location is secluded and very well tucked away, but no too far to drive to the local supermarket for some groceries. The road to the cabin is not tarred, but a normal sedan vehicle is able to drive up the road. The ability to purchase wood and place the money inside the "honesty jar" is a nice touch.

I think the cabin needs a weekly or fortnightly fumigation. Due to its location (in the woods) critters and bugs are to be expected. We did find the amount of spiders (some poisonous) a tad too much. Perhaps some complementary bug repellant or perhaps a "must have" suggestion when booking.
