Chamodya Home Stay

Lily and her family welcomed us with hot drinks as we arrived in the rain, then arranged curry at her brother's homestay. Tips on where to go, arranged tuc tuc to Temple up in the hills. Arranged laundry and clean towels when dampness wouldn't dry. After our transport refused to pick us up as not on main road arranged tuc tuc and paid for it to our vehicle. Went over and above, so kind.

Breakfast was delicious. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Delivered tea upon arrival and throughout my stay.

The room was hot and the place is modest however it is expected since it is a home stay. The toilet needs upgrading but once again for a quick stay it is more than enough

Wonderful views from the room & terrace outside, the room was comfortable and spacious, and we slept well. It was only a short walk or tuk tuk ride back from the centre of Ella, but the Chamodya was far more relaxing. The staff were very helpful and they prepared a very tasty breakfast.

The only minor complaints were that the room could have done with extra door handles on the inside of the bathroom and main door, as it was difficult to open/close them using just the small lock to hold on to. Also a small reading light next to the bed would help to avoid having to get up to turn off the big light at night. But otherwise everything else was great!
