Quinta do Valdalágea

זהו המקום הטוב ביותר ששהיתי בו עד היום, וטסתי המון בעולם. יחס מדהים של הצוות, מיקום כאילו נמצאים בגן עדן, נוף מדהים, צופה על הנהר והכרמים, נקי מאוד, ארוחת בוקר נהדרת ומגוונת. פשוט מושלם.

Calme, campagne. Très bon petit déjeuner. Proche de la haute vallée du Douro, sur les hauteurs.

Me gustó la ubicación, que está en un alto de las colinas del Duero, rodeado de viñas y con unas vistas maravillosas. Se respira tranquilidad en el hotel. Los desayunos son muy grandes y muy ricos!

Me pareció que nos comentaron al llegar que habría limpieza diaria, pero me sorprendió que aunque solo estuviéramos 2 noches y no ensuciamos nada, no pasaron por la habitación el día después de llegar.

Fantastic location with views of the river valley. Authentic building and ambience. Generous breakfasts. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Blick auf den Douro war wunderschön. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Den Pool fanden wir nicht so ansprechend, da er sehr klein war.

We had a really pleasant stay here. The older vibe of the rooms and building are offset with modern amenities. The plunge pool was unfortunately not open for the season yet for our stay, which was disappointing considering the 37degC temperatures. Given the heat, we could also hear every room blasting the A/C at night. We didn't have ours on, however there was still quite a bit of noise from the A/C unit in the roof struggling to keep up, which wasn't ideal as a light sleeper. Breakfast was ample, though both my friend and I have dietary requirements which restricted us a little. I'm not sure if I just missed if there was an option to advise on this as part of the booking, but would recommend messaging in advance. All the staff were really helpful and accommodating.

The biggest downside for us was the location, and I would not recommend staying here without a car. Taxi's to the train station are 10€ and the nearest (small) supermarket is 40mins walk away (we did test this!), getting food for dinner was therefore a little challenging. With a car though, perfect. The beds in the twin room where large but next to each other. Whilst this was fine, we would have preferred them to be separate.
