Great location and amazing view and beautiful garden. The house is very big and lovely and the garden is so beautiful and the ocean view is wonderful. We really enjoyed it!!

Pool table. Farm employees allowed us to see the cow farm and milking station for the cows and goats. Pond contains fish. The main room has meshes screens for the big windows which allow for maximum airflow while not allowing bugs in but also has a A/C unit. Wood/Coal burning grill area in outside patio perfect for dinner. Ponies. Rooster wake up call at 0330, 0430, 0500 and 0630. 8min drive to CONTINENTE the big supermarket they have there. Full kitchen with everything you need. Close to a handful of beaches 10-20min away in both directions down the coast. Great unobstructed ~120 degree ocean view.

The ponds wasn't as clean as in the picture but not like its for swimming.

Our hosts were there to meet us and give tips about the two homes we rented including some terrific recommendations for restaurants, etc. They included some specialty foods for our arrival. Everything about the location and the 2 homes was comfortable and perfect for our large group. We'd stay there again if in the area. We'd highly recommend their place.

The house was beautiful and nicely equipped with furniture. It was interesting sharing the grounds with farm animals and the setting (including the other two residences on the property) was gorgeous. We felt secluded yet close to both Lagoa and Ponta Delgada. Plenty close to large supermarkets as well as smaller, closer local markets. Our host did provide us with a welcome basket of food and a bottle of wine.

The host greeted us but then we never heard from him again. It would be nice if hosts just did a check-in with guests. We called him once one night when the cows seemed to have escaped their enclosure and were ranging about the property, including the beautiful side yard. No call ever came back the night of the "escape" or the next day. There were minimal kitchen utensils and absolutely no spices, oils, etc., for cooking. First time we've ever rented we have had so little by way of food prep items. Also, for non-Europeans, some basic instructions on use of appliances would help as nothing was in English. We did eventually, figure things out (stove and washing machine). No guest book with personal touch of house/area information which most hosts provide.

Firstly about the host: super nice people, really helpful and kind! Fridge was full of fresh local food at our arrival! João speaks perfect English. About the house: this place is truly amazing, beautiful views, garden around so well maintained. Huge living room with pool table, kitchen, everything as on the photos. Mosquito nets on all windows. Bed was super comfy, bathroom with walk-in showers very convenient. Great place to spend holidays with family, my kids really loved it. We would come back any time!

Not easy to write any negative aspects... okay here's one: pillows were bit hard :)

Highly recommend!!! We rented two beautiful houses. The surroundings were amazing! green with a nice lake. The houses were clean and well designed. Further, it was nice to see the livestock around. Above all, I would like to emphasize how amazing the host is. We made a mistake and ordered a day after we should. I discovered that on the same day. The host received us one day before with a short notice at night. They welcomed us with wine and very generous local products for breakfast, and a big smile. We will definitely come back.
