Casa de Pereiró

The property garden is amazing, with amazing spots to chill in the sun or in the shadow. The house reveals love and genuineness in the decoration details. The host is very friendly and kind. I vividly recommend.

Everything was perfect.

Authentic, rural little house with private, shady outside space to eat and relax and large sunny gardens/adjoining land to relax or wander in if wished. All very clean and fitting for purpose in a convenient location for walking, buying essentials and with an attractive bar facing the Granaries. The house looked very welcoming on arrival with flowers, a delicious home made cake, local honey, fruits,conserves, laid on the table and Amelie’s hospitality continued throughout our stay. Amelie left fresh bread daily and traditional Portugese pastries several times along with generous amounts of fresh breakfast food - juices, milk, yogurt, eggs, cheeses, homemade preserves and a wide range of fresh fruits, including oranges from the garden. We were spoiled !

Nothing at all. note however that eating out may be tricky, particularly for vegetarians (as we are). Check opening times and be prepared to travel .

The property is located in Soajo, a gorgeous village which is a gateway to the Peneda-Geres National Park. Amelia is a superb host and looked after so well, we were very sad to reave.

Wonderful old stone house in a charming rural village.

The house was so rustic and beautiful. The property orchard and flowers were so great. Our host Amelia was so nice and was always bringing us fruit,bread and desserts she baked. The town of Soajo was so quaint and had many restaurants to eat at. On hot days, the patio had so much shade which was perfect. Our 2 week trip was so amazing and Amelia's house was a perfect spot to do day trips from.

We have no complaints. Our host took great care of us.

This was the perfect house for exploring the region. It was close to the village but very peaceful and quiet. We loved the garden, house ambience, and hospitality of the host Amelia!

Traditional decor, friendly host, very generous provisioning of food for breakfast, well-equipped kitchen, shady garden with hammock. Great village to stay in.

Would have welcomed a good shower although having a bath every day instead was a treat.

I loved how the home was close to town, within walking distance, but far enough away from the center to feel peaceful. One morning I woke up to a sound like a wind chime but it was actually the bells on the sheep in the adjacent field. I walked around the house to see the orchard and all the gardens. It was a traditional Soajo stone home with some modern updates to make it comfortable. The fireplace was a treat during the cold nights, and Senhora Amalia provided me with plenty of delicious food, including a homemade cake, bread, eggs, fruits, and meats.
