La Fattoria Dei Nonni

We had a wonderful one night stay here. The staff was very warm and welcoming, and offered us wine and focaccia by the pool after we arrived. The pool was clean and very nice for swimming. We also really enjoyed our dinner, which included several courses of traditional Sicilan fare. The breakfast was also great, including both baked goods, meats and cheeses and freshly cooked eggs. Overall we had a great time!

We had breakfast and dinner and everything was perfect. There is nothing to complain about. Thank you Francesco and Angela.

Place was extremely clean, room were spotless. Pool area setting was beautiful, surrounded by greenery and extremely relaxing. Food was delicious and hosts made you feel so comfortable and are very nice and genuine people. Room décor may not be to everyone's liking but were spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect, just a few minutes away from Etna, Etnaland and Etnapolis. Also not far from Catania and Taormina.

Area leading to the hotel may look very dirty but once you arrive in the accommodation you forget about it.

The next level of hospitality is provided by Francesco, his wife, the family and team. The breakfast is good, the pool snacks (often very nice melon), the supply of drinks was excellent and the dinner was extraordinary every night. The anti-pasta of La Fattoria Dei Nonni are unrivaled, they make you feel the real quality of the ingredients, the skills and expertise in the kitchen. After we left La Fattoria, we have not found the same quality of food again on Sicily. The staff have been brilliant in connecting, we felt home and did not want to leave, while at the same time they were very discrete. A great place for families (the pool is great) and for people that would like to be spoiled and be well taken care off.

This is not a place for impatient people that expect an international hotel experience where everybody speaks English perfectly. For us this did not matter at all, with a bit of English, French and non-verbal, we could perfectly communicate with all staff. The authenticity, the warmth and the hospilitality make you feel you welcome, that you do not want to leave.
