Plas Dinas Country House

The history and depth… retention of original character. You have something very special there. The breakfast was a lovely experience, thank you. Bed super comfy.

In the room, we didn’t use the tv but it was placed in such an awkward spot (wardrobe); risked clipping it a few times. Aware of food scenario, being offered the afternoon tea leftovers on arrival immediately wasn’t a 5 star welcome. Felt forgotten after the meal (moved to drawing room for cheese)… crackers were soft (left out too long?). Ports superbly matched the cheese but portions off. Petit fours… pretty bland. Crème brûlée dessert… we had 4 and 3 left a sizeable portion on the plate (all familiar with matcha) but didn’t feel it worked. We could have said something but equally wonder why we weren’t asked. The night staff overall felt haphazard… two were super lovely; the rest appeared stressed. Overall felt we heard more about limits than possibilities and welcome. By contrast the staff at Penrhyn Quarry were outstanding on every level… which maybe has influenced this review too. We’re a group who very much appreciate great food. Your breakfast rescued the Plas Dinas experience.

Nothing not to like it was a wonderful stay

Room was great (thanks for the upgrade!). Lovely big bed and nice bathroom. Food was good overall. Staff very friendly. Daniel was very knowledgable and gave us some great tips for the local area.

No non-feather pillows was an issue and not much water in the room. Dinner was quite expensive and as a taster menu only not a lot of choice.

Everything it was an exceptional place! Highly recommend ! We will be back!
