Neels Cottage

Beautiful location. The cottage had everything you needed including washing machine.

Walk around dam, braai facilities. Homely atmosphere with family photos etc, coffee, tea, very good rusks, no milk.

Mixup with booking. I thought there were 3 rooms, but there are only two. Host's wife thought I had booked only 3 people. Host arrived later and smoothed it all very well. FYI, 2nd bathroom is tiny.

The bed was hard and hollow. The pillows were lumpy. To reach the bathroom, you have to walk through the lounge, so it is not at all private with another couple staying in the same cottage! The hot water tap in the shower is totally insufficient: you have to jump around to catch the few droplets.

This was a friendly welcome and Lefras even made a fire in the indoor fireplace. Very neat and fully equipped.

The bed wasn't overly comfy.

We had a fantastic few days staying at Neels cottage. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was fully equipped with all the facilities we needed and was a great space to relax in. We particularly enjoyed the hikes around the property and the nearby rock art trail.
