Stone Paradise Homestay

Read very good reviews about this property and the owner and decided to book. Sure enough, the owner was very friendly, and guided me on bookings and activities even before i checked in. Helped to call a taxi to wherever I needed. Dinners with the family were a fun and unique experience. The property is near to the villages and paddy fields, and if you're lucky, you can catch pictures of the milky way on a clear night. I wasn't bribed to write this review and can honestly recommend it to everyone! Will definitely rebook when i come back to Sapa!

No complaints!

We are a family of 4 (kids ages 12 and 10) and this was our favourite accommodation in Southeast Asia so far (we have been travelling for 6 weeks). The host is wonderfully kind and welcoming. He helped us to figure out what we wanted to do in the area, including a day of hiking and a day with a driver who brought us to a variety of different destinations in the area. The home itself is lovingly and beautifully decorated with the owner's own artwork (stone carvings and photographs). Our family bedroom and the ensuite bathroom had many features that we loved. There was a view of the mountains, rice terraces and Fansipan mountain cable car, and the bathroom had lots of hooks to hang things (a rarity in Southeast Asia, from our experience). We loved eating family dinners together with the whole family, and it was the best Vietnamese food we have had so far in Vietnam. Our daughters played happily with their 3 daughters each morning and night, and we were really sad to leave. It is true that it is a few kilometres from the town of Sapa itself, but we found that to be a benefit not a detriment. Sapa is so touristy, and it can be overwhelming to navigate, especially with children.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

Exceptional place and oustanding host. The view and surrounding area are breathtaking, nice size room, location is quiet and away from the bustle of Sapa yet close enough for a very short ride or walk. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the panoramic view and breakfast. The generous host, Hieu, will also offer you excellent and suggested biking or walking trails, and in general will make suggestions to make your time in the Sapa region most enjoyable. Gracious host, serving meals in their homestay.

Nothing

Hieu and his family were very welcoming and helpful with everything to see and do in the area. The Homestay had the most amazing views of Fansipan Mountain and the rice terraces. It's away from the crowds in the countryside. A 5-minute walk to Cat Cat village and a 10-minute Grab from Sapa centre. I would truly recommend this lovely Homestay to anyone who wants to see the real Vietnam.

The room we stayed was very nice with a beautiful view towards Fansipan and rice fields. The family is very accommodating, friendly and helpful with finding ways around SaPa.

Nicest owner, who will do everything to assist you and make your time in Sa Pa amazing. The price was great, room was comfy and had a nice bathroom. Got some nice breakfast in the morning.

Not the fault of the accommodation at all, just be aware that the 'Limousine' services from Hanoi to Sa Pa do not reach this village on its outskirts. We had to take a Grab for the last mile, which was cheap and easy, as there are many in Sa Pa.
