O alojamento está decorado de uma forma sublime, em pura sintonia com a natureza e com o design rural. A simpatia e o profissionalismo do Miguel elevaram ainda mais a nossa experiência.

Principalmente da simpatia da Inês e da simplicidade do Miguel, são pessoas encantadoras e com as quais adorei passar algum do meu tempo na conversa. São excelentes anfitriões e a eles um bem haja por me receberem desta forma. O espaço é top e perfeitamente adequado ao ambiente proporcionado pela paisagem de castelo novo. Uma nota também para os cães grandes, aka burros, do Miguel são super amistosos. Devo acrescentar que nas minhas diversas escapadinhas de fim de semana dificilmente encontrei um espaço com tantas comodidades como as que encontrei aqui, exceção feita aos típicos hotéis de grande dimensão.

De ter ficado por pouco tempo, mas certamente vou voltar

The Pedra Novo is a wonderfully and lovingly furnished hostel. Architecturally in keeping with the historic centre of Castello Novo, it is an absolute insider tip. The owner Miguel and his crew are very friendly and attentive.

No wishes remain unfulfilled.

Our stay at Pedra Nova was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the heart of Castelo Novo, this beautiful property perfectly blends rustic charm with modern comfort. The mezzanine where we stayed was incredibly cozy — a peaceful and beautifully designed space that made it hard to leave! The hosts, Miguel and Inês, were genuinely warm and welcoming, always available with great recommendations and a smile. You can feel how much care they’ve put into every detail of the house and guest experience. Breakfast was a daily highlight — fresh, varied, and lovingly prepared. The orange juice, in particular, was absolutely delicious — fresh-squeezed and full of flavor. We also loved the homemade pancakes and regional products on offer. Everything about Pedra Nova invites rest and connection. Highly recommended for anyone looking to slow down, enjoy stunning surroundings, and be treated with true hospitality.

The village is lovely, absolutely gorgeous. Pedra Nova is an amazing place, the house is very well decorated, it's warm and cozy (important to mention we went during winter, when it was really cold). Miguel is an amazing host, super helpful and nice, always available to help and assist. It has a great family place vibe that left us wanting to go back.

The only downside is the village being quite isolated and there are no options to eat nearby or for delivery. The closest place to eat was Fundao but it was quite busy and we couldn't easily find an empty table. I recommend planning well ahead and make some reservations in the restaurants of your choice.
