LeFay Cottage at Little Washington

It was a charming, clean, well appointed cottage close to the heart of the country- restaurants, wineries, galleries, Shenandoah National Park and more. The owner, Sally, was very helpful and patient as I was dealing with the loss of my husband and trying to juggle many things prior to his memorial events. I rented the cottage for family overflow as our house could not accommodate everyone for a reunion following the memorial service. It was perfect and we will book again when we have a large group! It’s cheaper than adding onto our house!

The location was perfect for visiting a few wineries and exploring the local towns. It was quiet, functional, and completely stocked/equipped with all your needs for a weekend. The owner took interest by reaching out ahead of time to learn about the purpose of the rental, and was available for any questions. We were welcomed by a bottle of Prosecco and some decorations for wife's birthday. The house is super clean, bedding was comfortable, and provides a stay you will not forget. Thank you for an excellent stay.

The location was perfect for getting out and exploring. The owner was great providing advice and locations to check out while we were there.

It’s lovely and quiet, with marvelous views of the Blue Ridge. It’s close to the main road yet feels secluded, and the extensive lawn and garden give a sense of open privacy. The kitchen is well provisioned with thoughtful touches like half and half cream for tea or coffee. The beds are very comfortable, and the towels super plush. Its location near Little Washington, Sperryville and Flint Hill ensures great dining options. Also close to Shenandoah National Park for pleasant walks.

The property was clean and convenient to Sperryville. It had coffee and tea in the morning. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfy.

The LeFay cottage was adorable and perfect for our weekend getaway. Beautiful location and our host went above and beyond to make sure our stay exceeded expectations !

The bucolic setting is utterly beautiful and peaceful. The decor of the home is exquisite. All was thoughtfully prepared and welcoming. The location is very convenient to all that Rappahannock County and the Shenandoah Park has to offer.

We loved the welcoming feel of this beautiful cottage, the cleanliness, the quality and style of the decor and the "extras" that were made available to us in the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the bbq. The tranquil country setting was perfect for rest and relaxation and yet a stone's throw from the little village of Sperryville (corner shop and restaurants) and only 5 miles from Little Washington, where you will find the Michelin 3-star restaurant "The Inn at Little Washington" and the gardens, which were all a wonderful experience! It’s also close to several golf courses and the Shenandoah National Park where we spent a wonderful day touring the Blue Ridge Mountains. The hostess was very kind, caring and considerate. She even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us to celebrate our anniversary!

There was nothing not to like except the fact that we couldn’t stay there longer!
