Very clean and all the facilities you could wish for. Good breakfast and welcoming host.

Of course parking is a lottery but that is the same for all guest houses centrally located.

Our stay at Avondale house was fantastic. We stayed there for a few days towards the latter half of the week. We found the location to be perfect. It was very close to lots of pubs and restaurants and, importantly, very close to all the major walking routes in the area. Finding parking on the street wasn't too bad and once we found a spot we stayed there for the remainder of our stay. We want to say thank you to Amy & Chris for being lovely hosts. The breakfast they provided was absolutely amazing. My partner and I are both vegetarians and had no problem (as we do a lot of the time) in getting a really nice, freshly prepared, hot breakfast before our hikes. We would 100% love to stay there again and recommend it to others.

Because we were there during the summertime we had to keep our window open for some fresh air. The room faced the street so we had a lot of outside noise coming in. However, this didn't bother us very much or really affect our stay. We're adding this here in case it affects others.
