The Cottage B&B

Very welcoming host who even offered to post my walking boots when I forgot them.

Everything, and all the additional nicities such as heated rail, room spray, body lotions. Breakfast was perfect, delicious local produce with a huge variety all served by Chris and Claire who were so friendly and kind.

Room was a good size with small but adequate en-suite shower room. Resident’s lounge was comfortable and convenient.

Car parking was a bit of a lottery - there were reserved parking spaces but locals were somewhat untidy in blocking the access road and parking in designated no-parking areas, which itself made access to The Cottage’s spaces difficult if not impossible (I stress that this is no fault of the owners of The Cottage).

Friendly host and good breakfast.

Tiny B&B on the Main Street of Porlock. Front rooms look out directly over the street; superior room at the back of the house looks out on parking lot and car repair garage. Carpet in the room was dirty and stained. Furniture in the room was tired and outdated.

This is our 2nd stay at The Cottage. The facilities and location for accessing the SWCP are ideal. This visit didn't disappoint. The hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious again, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything you could need for a night away.

I can't fault the place.

The location was beautiful. There was a lovely warm shower after returning from a cold walk. A simple but hearty breakfast to set us up for the day.
