The Cottage B&B

Nice location, good breakfast.

It would have been nice to have been able to check in a little earlier and for power sockets to have been more accessible for phone charging etc. Whilst the location of the property is very central to Porlock, with many places nearby to eat/drink. There was a lot of noise until quite late from the outside tables of the pub opposite. My room was at the back of the building and I was still kept awake. I wouldn’t have wanted a bedroom at the front of the property. Shower being situated within the actual bedroom was a little odd, but it didn’t smell too much of damp as a result.

De locatie is heel fijn. In Porlock Weir vond ik geen onderdak meer, maar hier wel. Je loopt over een prachtig bospad zo naar Porlock toe. De ontvangst was heel hartelijk. De kamer comfortabel. In Porlock is een supermarktje waar je je lunchpakket voor de volgende dag kunt regelen.

Just a little loud as our room was close to the road but didn’t stop us getting a great night sleep.

Wonderful B&B, absolutely one of the best we have ever stayed in. Chris & Clare are great hosts. Super comfortable room and bed with everything you could need. We hope to stay again!

The location was perfect for coast path walking and The Cottage conveniently situated in the centre of Porlock with pubs and shops nearby. Very cosy and comfortable interior, warm welcome from the hosts, quiet at night and delicious breakfast.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Only very slight niggle was the shower in the bedroom rather than in a separate bathroom.
