Heathergate Cottage Dartmoor BnB

Bathroom light when having a bath went of and had to get out of the bath to make the light go on. no shower. Room was really hot and badged our heads a lot as in the roof room but I thought I booked a double room. So only stayed the one night not two nights and came home.

The room and the bathroom both two hot had 3 cold baths in 2 hours stay 4pm - 6pm

I had a great stay at Heathergate Cottage en route to Lands End. Angela the host is very warm and friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure I had a comfortable stay. The room was well equipped, clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious. The cottage was a little off the track but it had no issues with leaving my motorcycle parked up overnight.

Second time staying here we love it pubs just a short walk away peaceful and breakfast is great

We had a great stay and enjoyed an all too brief chat with Angela. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and set us up for the day. We would like to stay longer next time.

Very friendly, warm welcome. Room exceptionally cosy and very clean. Lovely bathroom too. Delicious breakfast and Angela made us some sandwiches which was most helpful.

The food was tasty, and Angela was friendly and polite.

The main disadvantages were the dirty bed sheets, which had blood stains, long hair, and short curly hair on them, and the shower, which didn’t work properly and kept switching back to the bath setting. These issues were quite disappointing. It seemed that the bed sheets had not been changed after the previous guests.

Angela was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast lived up to its high rating and the room was sizeable and comfortable.

A bit of a bumpy road to access the property but this wouldn't put me off returning.
