Old Hall Cressage

We were met at the gate by the host and showed to our room, before being given a tour of the house. The host was kind enough to provide recommendations for food and pubs around the property, as well as guidance for a walk through the wooded area. Our room was spacious and opened up to the huge garden at the back of the house. The amenities and linen were of good quality. The breakfast was superb and a mix of cooked hot dishes and cereal plus berries. The location is at the end of a quiet road with plenty of land to explore or relax with a few books in the lounge. The highlight was a book written by the host himself, capturing a history of the very house over time! We would love to stay here again and recommend this property to whoever is looking for options close to Shrewsbury.

While walking the room's floor sent vibrations throughout which woke me up a couple times, but given the age of the house it is expected.

Beautiful property with exceptional grounds that you’re welcome to enjoy. Room was lovely. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Robin was welcoming and a perfect host. Could not recommend enough.

We loved our stay at Old Hall Cressage. Robin and Louise were great hosts. They made us feel right at home and went out of their way to help us with a tricky situation with our car. Also, the breakfast was delicious and the beds were very comfortable.

A beutiful property in every respect, inside the house it exceeded a five star rating, and the gardens and overall view of the river was stunning. A rare find in comfort and hospitality.

The location, the hospitality and the away from home comforts were unique. Robin went beyond making us feel welcome.The breakfast was fresh and healthy. Cleaniness was absolutely superb.

So beautiful a setting and the whole place felt calm and peaceful. Great place to relax and get away from it all. Owners were so welcoming and breakfast was nice too.

Nothing, so peaceful and comfortable even though a busy road is very close by you wouldn’t know it. Mutton & mermaid was recommended for dinner but we found it to be overpriced and poor quality for Sunday lunch. So wouldn’t recommend a visit there.

Breast was ve nice but toast was like cardboard. Slightly more choice for people who don’t eat a cooked breakfast would be good

Having to drive for tea each evening

Old Hall, is a lovely old house set in delightful gardens abutting the River Severn. The sitting room, which is available for guests, was nicely furnished with antiques and comfortable sofas. The twin bedroom was large and comfortable with a modern ensuite. The views of the garden and river were stunning. Everything that one would need for a stay was there. There was a good breakfast menu and I have to recommend the poached eggs. The hosts were very attentive and helpful. There are places to eat an evening meal within a very short car drive.

Everything was perfect.
