The Old Stores

Quite simply magical. A gem of a stay in a gem of a location. Wonderful room with super comfy bed and superbly equipped bathroom with freestanding bath. Delicious breakfast and an attentive, welcoming host. And just across the square from the excellent Dragon Hotel for supper.

Superb place to stay. Everything was well thought out - fabulous room breakfast and host.

Nothing not to like it was perfect

A beautiful house right in the heart of Montgomery. Our host was charming and helpful and served a delicious breakfast. The room was extremely comfortable with a wonderfully comfortable bed.

Quite possibly the best B&B I'm ever likely to stay at - certainly the new benchmark! Had a fantastic & luxurious one night stay whilst on a multi day mountain biking tour. Best accommodation and nights sleep of the trip. Not sure if we were the usual type to stay but welcomed warmly by a great host. (bit beyond our usual price range - but you could definitely see what your extra £££s got you!)

Beautifully decorated and appointed to a very high standard. The bed was comfortable and linen was exceptional quality. Our breakfast was delicious and piping hot.

Stayed here for a wedding at Garthmyl Hall, just a short drive to the venue. Our room was incredible and extremely spacious, clean and overall excellent! Cook breakfast in the morning by the lovely host who couldn’t do enough for us. Delicious breakfast and coffee, incredibly comfortable bed. Could not recommend this B&B enough, would definitely return.

The Old Stores is set right in the middle of the town. Lovely old buildings all around. The interior is stylish and comfortable. The owner has made an amazing job of decorating and furnishing the space. Bedroom was large and the bathroom was spacious with a large shower and a stand alone bath. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared. Having a flask of fresh milk in the bedroom for coffee or tea was a thoughtful touch.

There are steep steps up to the front door which might prove difficult for some.

A gem of a b&b, so pretty and the interior straight out of an interior decorating magazine. Loved the bedroom, huge bathroom and the separate sitting room (sadly didn't stay long enough to enjoy that one). Beautifully furnished. Ruth made us feel very welcome and made us a delicious breakfast in the morning. Absolutely will be back!

Didn't like the clock tower nearby chiming every hour till midnight and again from early morning - but due to the warm weather we did have the bedroom window wide open.
