Lords Seat Bed & Breakfast

Fabulous B&B and hosts - we would not hesitate to return. Every little detail had been thought of, and the hosts went out of their way to ensure we were having an enjoyable stay.

This was our first time staying here at this B&B and in the Lake District and I can only say it was phenomenal. The accommodation was stunning with beautiful views all round. The hosts were lovely and very knowledgable of the area, they offered great places to go for dinner in the evening. They were very hospitable and helpful. They were able to suggest places to visit and tell you the best way of getting there. The room was large and spacious and without a doubt the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The bathroom was also very spacious and immaculately clean. The breakfast was lovely and very fresh. The sunroom where they serve breakfast is very nice with a lovely view. It was a lovely place and I would highly recommend it to anyone. They have Netflix and free view if you want to watch tv and a very comfy settee. This B&B is very reasonably priced for what they provide and where it is.

My only suggestion would be more fruit options at breakfast but I do think if you were to ask they would definitely accommodate

Der "Lord´s Seat" befindet sich in einer ruhigen Wohngegend zwischen zwei Seen. Das besonders freundliche und bemühte Gastgeberpaar vermietet laut eigener Aussage nur mehr ein Zimmer im ersten Stock. Dieses Superior-Zimmer ist geräumig und einen eigenen Parkplatz hat man auch. Wenn es das Wetter zulässt, kann man auch draußen im Garten sitzen. Für das Frühstück füllt man am Vortag ein Formular aus, auf dem man ankreuzt, was man wünscht.

Die Fenster des Zimmer sind leider ziemlich hoch angebracht, was zu Lasten des Ausblicks geht.

Just wow what an incredible stay from start to finish! John, Eddie and Matthew were truly 5* hosts. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us so warmly and made us feel completely at home. Their hospitality and attention to detail really made our anniversary weekend extra special. Our bedroom and en suite were huge, beautifully presented and absolutely immaculate, spotless throughout and so comfortable. The location itself is simply stunning, with the most beautiful views overlooking Skiddaw, making it the perfect peaceful escape. Breakfast was such a lovely personal touch and something we really looked forward to each morning. Set in the cosy conservatory with the radio softly playing, there was a wonderful selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juice to help ourselves to. This was then followed by a delicious full breakfast, served with toast, butter, jams and marmalade, all accompanied by tea and coffee. We honestly felt so spoilt during our stay and cannot thank John, Eddie and Matthew enough for their kindness and hospitality. A truly memorable experience and somewhere we cannot wait to return to. We enjoyed our time at Lords Seat. John was a perfect host helping us with plans for our he day. He had prepared scenic driving and walking routes for example. He also ha Netflix which was very welcome.

Spacious, comfortable and clean room with a lovely bathroom - it's so nice to have a bath after a day of fell running. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a good choice with dietary requirements catered for on request. We were even given chocolates on Easter Sunday which was a lovely touch. The location was great too, it is in a quiet village, which is just what we wanted to escape from the chaos of the bank holiday. Easy access to Keswick, Penrith, Cockermouth and Workington via bus and Whinlatter is 2 minutes walk away (although the visitor centre is perhaps 30 minutes walk). Thoroughly recommended and I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
