It was above our expectations!. Dee & Johnny were fantastic. They are both artists and every part of their home was appointed with some interesting piece. Just the best!!!!

Can’t rate BallyCairn House high enough seriously! Dee & Johnny have a very special property where you truly feel welcome. It was an oasis for us, the room, bed & facilities were scrupulously clean. The breakfast delightful. loved the art & gardens. The insightful recommendations were spot on.Will recommend to anyone travelling Northern Ireland.

The breakfast was excellwnt. Cooked to order. The views were amazing. Hills to one side and ocen view on the other. Very peaceful setting.

BallyCairn House was perfect. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, fabulous bathroom, breakfast soooo delicious (gluten free not a problem) and the location amazing (in the peaceful Irish countryside with hill and sea views surrounded by a huge stunning garden but just a short drive into Larne with bus/train access to Belfast if you want). What makes BallyCairn exceptional were our hosts - Johnny and Dee. They went the extra mile to make us feel so welcome. From Johnny booking us a table in Larne for dinner to the delicious baked treats. Thank you Johnny and Dee!!! This was our last B&B after driving 3000 kilometres around Ireland/Northern Ireland. We definitely saved the best to last!!

Great breakfast , beautiful location , lovely patio with sea view and fantastic garden. The hosts were really lovely , helpful , welcoming and knowledgeable.

Don’t think it could be improved on!

By far our favorite B&B after driving 1000s of km around Ireland and North Ireland! This place brought it all—exceptional hosts, abundant hospitality, terrific food, beautifully appointed accommodations AND in a fantastic location with amazing hikes and ruins and activities. Could not have asked for a better stay…wish it wasn’t such a long flight from North Carolina or this would be our new long weekend getaway! And to top it off— it never rained once!

Johnny and Dee are just the most gracious, welcoming and lovely hosts, and their B&B is incredibly charming. There was nothing too big or too small that they could do for us as guests. We were staying in the area for a wedding and Johnny even gave us a lift to and from our transport at the bottom of the road - including a very worse for wear pick up at late night! They also really looked after two very hungover guests the following day... They are just fantastic human beings, with a stunning house and incredibly hospitality. From the first moment it felt like we had been welcomed as family - the slice of homemade rhubarb pie and pot of tea on arrival were particularly amazing. Could not recommend any more strongly. Oh, and the breakfast is incredible!
