Loch Arklet House

Un emplacement très excentré ( détour du WHW de 4kms) sans restauration sur place. Seul restaurant accessible à 15minutes à pied, s’il y a de la place. L’eau chaude des sanitaires est très capricieuse, 2 sur 3 n’en ont pas eu !

The speed/rush breakfast was served. We got the feeling we were pushed to hurry up by the gentleman who was serving. No time for a chat. We would have liked to get more info about the dam close to the house but didn't get the chance

Hello, a great guesthouse that I can only recommend! We chose the accommodation because of the West Highland Way hike, it is a bit off the beaten track, but the local landscape is peaceful and beautiful. The staff was very nice and helpful, who make sure you feel at home. For breakfast we could choose the Scottish menu according to our wishes. The environment is very cozy and clean. We would like to thank the hosts for their hospitality and greetings from the Czech Republic, Milena and Víťa.

We had a cosy room with a full bath and nice views over the reservoir aka Loch Anklet

breakfast was a bit basic - and we were relentlessly prompted to leave our room at 10am

It is a bit of a detour from the WHW and the next dinner spot is also a couple hundred meters away

Lovely beautiful place. The breakfast was excellent and what we needed before a long day of hiking on the west highland way. The owners are very nice.

Loch Arklet House is a very nice place indeed. My room was very clean and comfortable. The couple who run the B&B were lovely; so welcoming and helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast in the morning and would certainly recommend Loch Arklet House to anyone considering staying there.

- Room was clean and comfortable. - Staff accommodated for a late arrival at 8:30pm, which was much appreciated after a long day on the West Highland Way. - Breakfast was nice, arranged the evening before which was handy. - Room well equipped with tea/coffee and fresh water.

- The bathroom was clearly clean/looked after, however there seemed to be some back flow in the toilet plumbing system. Upon arrival there was poo and urine in the toilet, and when flushed, brown murky water slowly creeped back up over time. - The house had a distinct smell of dog. This was more noticeable in the kitchen, and wasn’t too much of an issue in the bedroom.
