Loch Arklet House

Lovely place with a great host. The bed is comfortable, the shower is excellent, and the room offers a nice view of the hills. Breakfast was impeccable—cooked to perfection. A day trip to Loch Katrine via the Military Road made for a relaxing way to wind down after walking the West Highland Way.

The WiFi didn’t work for me, but that wasn’t a big issue as my Three network had a strong signal. The location isn’t directly on the West Highland Way, but that’s actually a plus—it means you avoid the crowds of walkers that places like the Inversnaid Hotel tend to get. Instead, you get a real sense of tranquility and a peaceful escape.

Altehrwürdiges Haus mit familiärer Stimmung eingebettet in grandiose Landschaft. Die guten Seelen des Hauses waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war großartig.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, saubere gepflegte Zimmer und ruhig. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und hochwertig.

Prachtige plek en een enerverende ervaring om er te komen. Mooie omgeving, ver van de 'bewoonde wereld' Het hotel ligt op een bekende wandelroute en daardoor geliefd bij wandelaars. Toppertje!

We rijden elektrisch en er is helaas geen laadpaal in de buurt. Dat is wel jammer, zeker wanneer het zover van de bewoonde wereld ligt. Gelukkig haalden we het nog terug naar een volgend laadpunt.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Es war zwar eine ältere Wohnung aber sauber und groß genug. Die Gastgeber haben sich um uns bemüht und Empfehlungen für Freizeitaktivitäten gegeben. Kostenloser Parkplatz war unmittelbar am Haus vorhanden.

Bei der Buchung war angegeben, dass sich diese Unterkunft in Stirling befindet. Wir mussten von Stirling1,5 Stunden fahren, bis wir die Unterkunft am Loch Arklet erreicht hatten. Dies ist eine glatte Irreführung!!!

I was a wee bit chilly in the bathroom

Cozy and elegant accommodations. The bed was very comfortable and the house was very quiet overall. My favorite part of my stay was breakfast. At check-in you are given a breakfast form to select what items you would like for breakfast. Love having a homecooked meal on my travels.

I wish the outlets had usb charging built into the outlets. I have seen them in many of the other accommodations I booked for the trip. The bathroom was also a bit dated but it gets the job done.

Stunning location and lots of walking to do nearby. It is a good 20 minutes away from a crossroads if you’re planning on sightseeing in a car. But we would absolutely stay there again.
