High Street Farm Barn

The property is spacious with a large comfortable bed. The owner greeted me by my name and helped carry my bags, which was a nice personal touch. There was a good selection of breakfast items.

The only issue I had was a short night’s sleep as there is a Velux window in the bedroom that illuminated the room at about 5am.

Pretty apple trees and large shared lounge area.

A little remote.

Perfect quiet countryside location for me to get to a 10am appointment the following morning. Lovely comfortable ensuite room in a converted barn. Lounge/dining area and kitchen shared with one other couple, but had own TV in the room plus tea/coffee making facilities. Help yourself continental breakfast left in the fridge for the morning, but able to heat the croissants in the oven in the kitchen. Cereal, milk, fruit juice and bread for toast with condiments also part of the breakfast provided. More than adequate supplies! Hattie gave me great information about where to eat that evening. Good wifi connection.

Nothing to not like!

Location is awesome when you want to be on your own, the owner is brilliant, polite and respectful. She does have 2 dogs, of which the the smaller one has more energy. Just be aware of that, they are though harmless and friendly pets.

Nothing, all was very pleasant. I suppose the only point to consider is location, your about 4-5 miles away from Newbury Town centre, so its not walking distance. Depending on your mood, if your trying to get away from the noise this location is perfect.

The Barn was cosy and quiet, in beautiful surroundings. Hattie was wonderful - so friendly and welcoming and really went above and beyond which was so appreciated. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything you could need. Breakfast was simple but delicious and had a great variety considering it was just a continental - and the homemade granola was the best I've had and I wish I'd remembered to ask for the recipe! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

The barn is in a beautiful, peaceful setting and comes equipped with everything you may need. The beds are comfortable with quality linen. Hattie, our host, was friendly and very helpful. She left us a yummy breakfast each morning. A special mention to Otto and Bonnie - the lovely dogs that kept us entertained! There is also a restaurant just a minutes walk away which serves delicious Italian food. It's definitely worth a visit. We spent a lovely couple of days here and can't wait to return.

Countryside location and quiet. Free parking, large room, free wifi, bath and shower, comfortable bed, tea and coffee in bedroom plus access to kitchen with fridge. The breakfast was ready in the fridge for the morning - croissants, cheese and ham, yoghurt and orange juice cereals and tangerines available.

I liked everything. Maybe some additional fruit? Banana, or strawberries/blueberries with the breakfast.
