"Excellent Weekend Retreat"

10.0

We have just returned for a 2 night stay at Mill Hay Country House. Everything about the Mill Hay was excellent, from the accommodation, the hospitality, the breakfast, to the dogs. We were made to feel very welcome with nothing too much trouble. If you plan to stay in Broadway we strongly recommend you try Mill Hay first - We have stayed in Broadway many times, but can say this was one of the best visits - Don't forget to visit the Tower!!

"Fantastic B&B "

10.0

What a beautiful house and grounds, nothing too much trouble, delicious breakfast, plenty of parking, short walk into broadway but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle, and be able to sit out in peace after dinner. We will definitely be back!

"Gracious Country Retreat"

10.0

This was my 3rd time to Broadway. Last time I identified this was the place I wanted to stay on my return. It is next to St Eadburgha's Church which is one of my favorite peaceful places. It is across the street from an equestrian school, and the country path that leads into Broadway. Mill Hay Country House is vibrating with history, and is decorated with art and antiques to fill out the ambiance. The grounds are beautifully tended, and at night you can hear 2 streams in the distance, and the sheep baaing. It is a short walk into town, whether you walk along the country road or through the fields. For longer walks you can head away from Broadway to Snowshill Manor, up the hill behind the property to Buckland, or up in the front of the property to Broadway Tower where William Morris hung out with his friends. I had the room with the balcony that looks out onto the back of the property. This room has a shower but no bath, probably a fine tradeoff if you want the balcony. The only thing I would change is I wish they would sweep the balcony so I could have gone out barefoot on a summer's evening.

"Beautiful Country House"

10.0

We loved staying at the Mill Hay House. Both the home and garden were so lovely, and the location was perfect - just a short walk from the main street of Broadway. Breakfast was really tasty and the staff very warm and friendly.

"Lovely Old Manor House"

10.0

Although Mill Hay offers 'just' bed and breakfast it does so superbly. One has the run of several lounges of great character, including fireplaces and a beautiful garden. There are courtesy drinks. The bedroom was very comforable. There was a bath with hand shower only, so I was a bit concerned about spraying the rather fine curtains, but everything was in superb taste. My wife and I adored the character of the place. Breakfast was superb. We felt that any request would have been rapidly addressed but we had no issues at all.

"A terrific place to relax and explore the North Cotswolds "

10.0

We stayed as part of a family birthday celebration having 2 rooms. The property is a large Queen Anne period property which is about a mile outside of Broadway. The rooms do vary as one would expect, we had a room facing north and one south with a balcony which was ideal with the fantastic weather we had. Very comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a modern shower and bathroom. The room whilst not the largest was more than made up for by the balcony area. Our host made us feel very welcome and even gave us a lift into Broadway to the restaurant we had booked on the Friday evening. The breakfast was very good ranging in choice from traditional, pastries, fruit and cereals, nothing was too much trouble. The large and well kept gardens are ideal for relaxing in if you want to take it easy. It is about 8 miles from the famous gardens of Hidcote and Kiftsgate and the Steam railway operates from Broadway. A perfect stay.

"A nice environment but not great value for money"

6.0

This is a lovely setting in the Cotswolds and We stayed here for three nights in a small room with an ensuite that contained a bath and shower. It is basically a bed and breakfast service and highly priced at that. Nice staff and the breakfasts were excellent but I expect better value for the money paid

"A True Cotswold Experience"

10.0

The owners of the Mill Hay House combine hospitality and charm in a property that is beyond compare. The house is a half mile from from the center of Broadway on a quiet country lane that includes thatched roof houses, ancient churches, stone walls, meadows and grazing fields. The house welcomes you from the moment you enter with it’s drawing rooms and parlours, beautifully appointed with antiques and artwork. Our room overlooked an enchanting English garden with manicured boxwoods, roses and the Cotswold hills beyond, the birdsong and scent of roses wafting in through the open leaded glass windows. Our elegant bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable and met our every need. A delicious continental breakfast and excellent sightseeing advice were served in the grand dining room which overlooked still more lawns, gardens and a 12th century mill. Our only mistake was not staying a bit longer.

"Beautiful, relaxing get-away in serene surroundings"

10.0

Perfect to get away from everything. Quintessential country manor house complete with drawing rooms and roaring fires. Annette made us feel very welcome, home from home. Very personal service for breakfast, felt so relaxed went down in dressing gowns. Literally up the road from the beautiful Cotswolds village of Broadway and all that that has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely re-visit.
