"Mill Hay Country House"

10.0

The entrance to Mill Hay,(if approaching from Church Street/Snowshill Road) can be a little difficult to spot. We also had a Sat Nav error which sent us 500 mtrs pass the entrance. We rang the bell and was warmly greeted, we were given our room key plus a key for the front door which is locked all the time. The house has three guest rooms, and plenty of room for relaxing downstairs complete with an open fireplace. We liked our Executive Suite with a rear garden and side lake view. The open bathroom suite included bath and walk in shower. The open bathroom was accessed via four steps with no separating doors other than the shower doors, it has mirrors and cupboard space throughout. The toilet was round the corner of the bathroom. The four poster bed was an added luxury enhancing our room. The gardens were large with seating areas which would certainly be a bonus in the summer to sit and have a drink whilst watching the wildlife. We saw various birds including pheasants and squirrels. Everybody was friendly and helpful, the house was a good old fashioned creaky stairs (no lifts) kind of place. We visited a few places and walked down to the road for a meal one night walking back along the dark country lane. We had our own torch but the house do provide one in the room for your use. The stars in the sky were lovely on the walk back. You just have to be mindful of the traffic as there are no footpaths.

"Magical Mill Hay stay"

10.0

A wonderful place to start our journey through the Cotswolds. Annetta and her staff were great hosts. Very helpful and lovely stories to share. Gorgeous property. Delicious breakfast prepared by Michelle. Beds were comfortable and we had a nice sized room. Our room did not have a shower, but we enjoyed relaxing in the tub. Close enough to the town of Broadway which is very charming. We did have trouble connecting to wifi in our room which was understandable. The house has very thick walls which make it difficult to get a connection. And why not enjoy disconnecting anyway.

"Mill Hay Country House."

10.0

I recently visited Mill Hay House with my fiancee and two friends. The house is built partially from brick and mostly the warm Cotswold stone with beautiful gardens, it is set in beautiful countryside and is just a small walk from the village of Broadway. The room in which I stayed was clean, spacious, and contained all that I required to make my stay a comfortable one. The breakfast had a wide variation of choices from friut to full english, that should please most that guests. I found the staff and owners at Mill Hay, helpful, very friendly and welcoming. To my knowledge only three bedrooms of this large country are used, making it a very quiet, relaxing and lovely enviroment to stay in.

"Superb"

10.0

My partner and I, together with two friends have just spent the weekend at Mill Hay, to celebrate a birthday. It was perfect in every way. The rooms were so comfortable, the breakfast choice was imaginative, plentiful and delicious and the house itself stunning. I can't speak highly enough of it. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like friends. We shall definitely stay there again.

"Beautiful place"

10.0

The owner, Nigel Tabor is a true gentleman and so very kind. My girlfriends and I were hiking through the Cotswolds and very lost. We stopped at Mill Hay House, knocked on the door and Nigel Tabor greeted us. We told him our dilemma and he gave us a ride back to where we were staying. We WILL stay at Mill Hay House next time we visit the Cotswolds as it is gorgeous and due to the kindness of Mr. Tabor.

"The Cotswolds Perfected"

10.0

Everything that makes the Cotswolds charming is here in elegance and abundance: the 'golden stone' finely decorated but highly comfortable house, the medieval mill pond, and extensive English gardens are splendid; our room was well appointed, spotless and had a view of the roses amid the statuary; and, the people were warm, welcoming and attentive. Annette graciously greeted us immediately upon arrival; talented and attentive to our tastes, Michelle made the most wonderful breakfasts; and, Hans enthusiastically shared his love of "the heart of England" (and his well marked map) in steering us to nearby small villages for an authentic, non-touristy Cotswolds experience. Whether you like being personally pampered, aesthetically engaged or entirely charmed by the best of Old Britain, the Mill Hay Country House is a well priced, delightful microcosm of the beauty of the Cotswolds.
