Hillside Bed and Breakfast

A lovely traditional guest house with old fashioned decor and a large comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent and a generous choice of options.

First and foremost the owner was lovely and ensured we had everything we needed. The room was perfect for adults and children, location is great and the breakfast perfect.

The host (afraid I can’t remember her name), was the best host to a b&b I’ve ever had. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she even carried my rather heavy suitcase up the stairs for me. The breakfast was incredible, I had a full English the first morning, all cooked to perfection, and cereal the second as I was a little worse for wear the night before. Both times I was offered fresh fruit, fruit juice and coffee. The cereal selection was also huge. The room itself was lovely, one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in and I didn’t want to leave it! The room is equipped with everything you could want including a coffee machine which was much appreciated the second morning. The location is a little difficult, though I’m familiar with the area and knew to book taxis etc in advance. There is a post office a short walk away as well as a pub that serves food call the rose and crown a stone throw away. All in all I would highly recommend this b&b, for the host herself if not anything else, a home away from home, thank you for having me!
