Although I grew up in Dumfries I had not been back to stay in the town for many years. Robertson is a wonderful host who made me so welcome , and the room was really cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything you could want was provided and at hand .The breakfast was excellent, and the property is right opposite the station making it very convenient. It is a short walk from the town centre , and it was most comforting to have such a lovely base as I re-explored my hometown and beautiful Galloway.
