"Our stay would have been so much better if the central heating was on."

Good location close to Southwold in parkland. Very comfortable bed, nice to have a settee in this very large room. Cooked breakfast was very good.

Room was very cold with central heating boiler switched off. Very small electric heater supplied wasn't up to heating the large room. Bathroom lacks a shower. Some fruit at breakfast would be nice.

Perfect location for us to visit Southwold, Walberswick and Thorpeness. Stayed in family room which was enormous. Good breakfast and friendly host 👍

It’s a little tired in places but you have to accept it as charm.

The room size was excellent, the bath was lovely and the bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was quite chilly (possibly due to the time of year, also possibly due to the size of the room)

"A fantastic location, with some stand out bits, but were let down by some minor issues."

The location is amazing and the venue itself is lovely, great setting with friendly staff and it certainly has a wow factor. The amenities were good, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was tasty. The wildlife and views around the venue were lovely.

Sadly there were a few things that could have been better, our room did not have a shower and this was something we were not aware of before we arrived. The room itself was noisy due to the boiler being in the room, so we were woken each morning around 0600 when the heating kicked in, there were lots of cobwebs in the room and there could have been more attention to detail. Outside, there was a dead rabbit outside the bar room window for the entirety of our stay and lots of dog dirt out the front, which we had to avoid.

We had a friendly welcome and an enormous room with comfy bed and tea, coffee etc. The location was beautiful. We also had a very nice breakfast with choices.

Not a didn't like, just a suggestion - could you place a sign nearer to the entrance of the road? It is hard to find in the dark.
