We received a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived. Loved the open log fire in the lounge and large sofas to relax on. The beds were very comfortable and a good sized bathroom all of which were spotless. Easy to find parking and very quiet. Lots of local walks in beautiful countryside. Good quality breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, choice of cereals, mushroom omelette with bacon, toast, tea, coffee and fresh orange. We will definitely return.

There nothing we didn’t like.

I stayed alone at Horse and Panniers B&B and had a lovely experience. The breakfast was exceptional, generous, filling, and beautifully prepared, with plenty of choice and very good quality ingredients. It really set me up well for the day.

I liked everything. My stay was cosy and welcoming, with the fireplace burning and a real sense of comfort throughout. Chris, the owner, was incredibly attentive, meeting me on arrival and making me feel at home straight away. He gave me many helpful tips for visiting local areas, and I enjoyed getting to know him and the place itself. It truly felt like a home away from home :)

Excellent stay with a warm, welcoming and informative host. Chris cooked us amazing omelettes and bacon butties for breakfast as well a yoghurt, fruit, cereals and toast all whilst looking at the real fire lit for us each morning. Great location for visiting Rutland Water as well a local villages and towns full of history.

Location perfect. House extremely cosy and very characterful, expecially the shared living space downstairs. Chris and Ana went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Couldn't have been better hosts.

Amazingly good. Chris the owner was welcoming and also prepared an excellent breakfast. The lounge area was lovely and warm, the bedroom was perfectly comfortable. Bathroom and shower were small but adequate. It’s a small ex pub so it had plenty of character. A little gem of a place and a rare bargain price these days.

Chris the host could not of been more helpful, delightful classic English guesthouse, everything you need, good location for exploring the area, and good value for money.

The owner was very welcoming and couldn't have done enough for me - i arrived on a bike and he provided safe & dry storage for my bike and even got it out for me in the morning while i was at breakfast. The room had everything i needed at the end of a day on a bike - warm, comfy room with excellent hot shower & plenty of tea/coffee in room. The breakfast was excellent with: mushroom omelette & bacon, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal made for me at 7 as arranged. I would say this was excellent value for money in a characterful building.

Some guests arrived a midnight and were noisey going to their waking me up - but this is not the hosts fault.

Exceeded my expectations in every way. The host Chris was so helpful , greeted me upon my later than anticipated arrival, nothing was too much trouble. Incredible value, so much so that I wasn't expecting very much so the very good facilities proved outstanding for the money. Lovely period building, which is my preference. Set in a very quiet village it provided the comfortable and safe stay much needed in order to break my journey further north. Highly recommended ! And dogs are welcome which is a plus for me.

There was nothing in my stay that disappointed.
