The Wellington House Hotel

Great location, clean modern rooms and lovely staff

Shower was a bit dodgy, either hot or cold and fixed shower head which isn't great for ladies not wanting to get hair wet. Minor things overall and would definitely stay again.

The proximity to the promenade and Blackpool’s amenities was great. The frontage was lovely in comparison to many others around it. Having a coded entry was a great idea too.

The room smelt fusty when we entered and was improved by shutting the bathroom door and leaving a window wide open. The bathroom window wouldn’t open and that room could have done with an airing too, shutting the door helped generally, so we didn’t complain and once the fan had been on a bit, it improved. Sadly the towels couldn’t all be used (there were two and a hand towel) because two smelt sour when used and I had to rewash my face and use the only good one. It was only an overnight stay, so we didn’t ask for more. The double bed had two pillows but they weren’t! They were some sort of folded up quilty stuff (unsure what) and the pillow cases didn’t smell clean? This may have been the general hot weather and the fact that the room had smelt fusty, but they may have not been washed? Again as only one night, we didn’t ask for others and just covered our pillows with t-shirt apiece from our luggage. It’s little things like this that make you wary of the cleanliness of the coffee mugs and using the kettle etc, when you have no washing up liquid to hand. We purchased bottled water before returning after our meal out and made do with that to be on the safe side. The lady who was ‘on duty’ seemed friendly and I’m sure would have helped, had we asked, but being on her own and us only staying for one night, we chose to let it go. The price for the room was very reasonable and the place generally seemed nice in comparison to reviews we’d read about other places. There maybe just needs to be a bit of attention to hygiene standards for the smaller things that make for a comfortable relaxed stay. Overall it was okay and could have been worse.

Absolutely loved this place! The fact that it could fit all 7 of our family members was great, comfortable, and plenty of room. Clean and tidy. The host was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend 👌 thank you so much ☺️

Great place, great location. Nice and quiet and a great little smoking area out the back. Would definitely stay again.

The room was clean and tidy. Easy to find and with a good location. I will certainly stay again.

The room was a like too warm during the night. But made more comfortable by using the fan provided.

This hotel is immaculate decorated to a high level this is the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in and we’re went to Blackpool for over 30 years x
