The shepherds hut had everything we needed, was a great location for a walk into Rothbury, Thropton or a drive to Simonside Hills, great views of Simonside and the Cheviots, cosy with the log burner, really friendly owner

"Perfect cosy break"

We stayed in the Eyebright hut. Gorgeous location, cosy hut with every luxury we needed. Wood burning stove and hot tub were great! Loved the goodies you included for breakfast. Seamless communication from Tim. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much ☺️

What a gorgeous little stay!! The hut is spectacular so cosy and cute. The additional touches provided like the welcome basket is also such a lovely addition. I had mentioned to the property that it was my birthday and was delighted to find a happy birthday banner hung in the hut! The huts are all positioned far enough away from one another for it to still feel very private. I was mildly concerned when we entered the hut about being cold during the night however the wood stove did a wonderful job at taking the chill out of the air and the little radiator kept the hut warm throughout the night. Overall, we had a delightful time and especially enjoyed looking at the stars in the hot tub.

The only downside we had was struggling to get the hot tub hot as it was the start of December. We arrived at the hut at 6pm and didn't get the water warm enough to get in until 10:30pm. While not a major issue, it is something to bare in mind for when you arrive.

"Perfect overnight stay, loved star gazing in the hot tub - even saw a shooting star! Will definitely be booking to stay"

Had mentioned we were going for a birthday, and arrived to a happy birthday banner in the hut. Everything was clean and all logs and kindling was provided for the hot tub and the wood stove.

Oven was very difficult to ignite, ended up only using the hob. That comes from no experience with a gas ignition oven though!
