La Baie du Bonheur

This location was our favorite of all the places we stayed in Guadeloupe. Murielle has created something very special at La Baie du Bonheur, always there with a smile, quick to respond to any questions, always offering a little something extra to help up feel at home and make the most out of our stay. From the property it is easy to walk to the beach and restaurants, while still feeling like you are tucked away from the bustle of town. The room is spacious and very clean, with everything you need to be comfortable for a longer stay (we stayed 7 nights). There is even a large private space outside (with a grill) to enjoy a little quiet time. We loved the breakfast, full of fresh bread and pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea. The view from the breakfast area is beautiful, but what we enjoyed most was our conversation with Murielle each morning. It was so nice getting to know her and learning more about the island. (Getting to play with her sweet dogs was a huge plus!) We would happily stay here again if we return to Guadeloupe and have already recommended La Baie du Bonheur to others. Excellent host, fabulous breakfast on the terrace overlooking Deshaies, easy walk into town and great location for exploring the northern part of the island.

En fantastisk värd! Alltid med ett leende på läpparna. Frukost ingick i priset och den dukades upp på hennes altan där man hade fin utsikt över bukten. Olika frukter och bakverk varje morgon. En dag fick vi till och med picknick med oss. Man bor i ett litet hus på hennes gård med en egen liten uteplats. Allt vi behövde fanns där.

Vägen var nära, men det hade vi läst om.

Maison d’hôtes qui porte bien son nom tant l’esprit qui y règne s’avère chaleureux et bienveillant. Petit déjeuner incontournable, avec un point de vue magnifique sur l’océan et, chaque matin, la petite surprise de Murielle qui réveille les papilles.

Logement très bien situé avec vue magnifique sur la baie. Un accueil au top : Murielle notre hôte est adorable, attentionnée, à l'écoute, souriante, naturelle et pleine de bons conseils et ses petits-déjeuners XXL sont fantastiques. Merci également à son mari. De plus, une excellente literie. On recommande vivement cet endroit. On reviendra !

Mycket bra frukost och trevligt bemötande. Fint läge med underbar utsikt över den lilla staden. Otroligt fina hundar.
