Good breakfast. Janet’s a gem. Clean. Nothing too much trouble.

Only hand wash in bathroom. Would be good to have sachet of hair shampoo/conditioner.

Bit of a walk to the town centre

Very good breakfast, served in a pleasant manner. Quiet location with ample parking. Lovely mature garden to stroll around. Pub serving choice of meals just down the road.

Our room was clean, quiet and bright and we enjoyed the fantastic breakfast. We got good advice about nice day hikes in the area and options for having dinner. It was a really lovely atmosphere.

The staff were exceptionally attentive, kind and friendly; they catered to every need we had and put so much care into making us breakfast. They were incredibly accommodating and appreciative, we had such a lovely time and really enjoyed just spending time in the room for a lot of our stay because it was so relaxing! The location of the guest house is perfect for getting to numerous locations in the area and is easy to find, we were able to walk to Whitehaven and back one evening and easily drive to St Bee's within 10 mins on another day. Perfect little getaway, clean and comfy rooms with lovely staff that are more than happy to give you their time. Thank you so much for accommodating our booking and for such a special weekend!
