Brona Dempsey

Quiet, very clean, and very gracious hostess.

Brona and Kevin could not be nicer, we got a lovely breakfast both mornings and couldn’t be nicer. Hospitality top notch, as was the food and location.

The room was very clean and comfortable

The shower was cold next morning. Only one of us got a hot shower. We thought there would be a full irish for breakfast as on the booking it said breakfast included but it was a continental breakfast which was disappointing.

We want to apologise to Brona for leaving without saying goodbye. I went to do that, but I didn't see her in the kitchen and we were mad late for our class, so sincere apologies for that. It was the nicest B&B I've ever been in. So beautifully decorated. Really lovely room. The beds were so comfy. And the breakfast outside in the sunshine was glorious. We could have sat there for hours.

A blind or some privacy film on the bathroom window would be appreciated.

Everything about Brona's accomodation is top class. From check-in until departure, Brona and Kevin were perfect hosts who could not have done more for us during our stay in Birr. We were immediately made welcome with offers of tea/coffee and suggestions for local dining and orientation. Our large bedroom and en-suite were hotel quality, beautiful interiors, spotlessly clean with high quality furnishings and lots of additional extras to add to our comfort. Brona's gourmet breakfast was delicious- a great start to our day! Location is perfect too- a country location but minutes from Birr town centre. Definitely on our list for a return visit to Offaly!

That we couldn't stay longer

Room was modern, spacious and clean. Brona was a fantastic host.
