"We thought our stay (2 nights) was pretty much perfect"

The only flaw with this B&B was no breakfast, although hostess left out things to eat each morning (yogurt, fruit, etc.). Rooms were fine, reception fine, friendliness of everyone perfect.

Our hostess was wearing a LA Lakers jersey when we arrived. We are Celtics fans!

I had a fantastic stay at Friars Quarter House, even though it was only for one night. Orla was an excellent host - very friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented, and the entire property was beautifully maintained and is located only 10 min walk from town. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others and would gladly stay again.

"It was very disappointing."

I liked the location.

The host said hello to us and gave us a key when we arrived and then we never saw her again after having stayed 3 days. We knew that the breakfast would be put out on a table upstairs where the bedrooms were for us to help ourselves but the 'breakfast' consisted of cups of packaged yoghurt, a fruit bowl, cardboard cups of instant porridge, tea bags and instant coffee in the room. We ended up eating the yoghurt and fruit on the side of our beds. The room was cramped — no place to put the luggage. There was a common room downstairs but it felt abandoned and unwelcoming.
