Abhi's homestay

Abhi and his family’s place is brilliantly situated on top of the hill, affording awesome views of Ross Island and the bay. The absolute highlight was the food. I was even welcomed into the kitchen when being nosy about how masala chai was made - and to top it off, enquiries about where to buy a certain item of clothing resulted in my being gifted said item! Unreal!

Everything was absolutely perfect - we were met at the airport by car, our suitcases were taken to the accommodation, we were taken care of in the best possible way. The rooms were very clean and colorful, the air conditioner works, the windows can be opened for ventilation. Wonderful! Bed sheets and towels were cleaner than in some 4 star hotels in India. The shower room was spacious and hot water was always available, water pressure very good. The rooms are of a good size, you can drink tea and hang out on the roof terrace with a wonderful view. The food that the family prepares is gourmet food! They organized a car for us to drive through the island of Diglipur, the driver of which was completely competent, helping us with all the errands on the way. Thanks a lot Anish. We absolutely loved everything there!

Felt like a true home, we received such a warm welcome from Abhi and his family, Abhi even met us at the airport. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable and the home cooked food was delicious. They went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Good was good .Location little bit difficult with luggage

Lovely homestay run by lovely family. Pick up from airport arranged, room spacious and clean, comfy bed and great view from balcony. I had breakfast and supper with other guests, delicious and plentiful. A tuk tuk driver took me to museums and points of interest, and knew the best place to stop for chai and samosas!

Indian hospitality at its best ! We were humbled by the kindness of Abhi s family! They organised our transport from the airport when we arrived and to the port the day after! They arranged for us to book a motorcycle! We also asked them to prepare dinner because we wanted homemade food! Thank you for everything! We want to come back!

Abhi and his family are very welcoming. We had a great meal with them. Rooms are clean, comfortable and common areas are spacious. Location is off the main street.

Fan/air con could have been slightly better, but not a huge issue. There's some early morning noise given that you're in a residential neighbourhood.
