The Amrit Goa

L’endroit est magnifique, calme, isolé et confortable. La piscine est parfaite et le personnel exceptionnel. Petit jus offert à l’arrivée et petit bâtonnet d’encens déposé le soir sur votre terrasse. Ritu et Catherine, ainsi que tout le personnel, sont aux petits soins.

De nombreuses fourmis dans la chambre, qui meurent en quelques secondes car le sol est certainement traité. J’étais vraiment triste. Elles n’ont rien fait de mal. J’aurais préféré avoir des fourmis vivantes et utiles que des fourmis mortes…

Amrit Goa - A ‘home’ away from ‘home’ After travelling over India for five weeks, we were two weary travellers seeking rest and relaxation; immediately we knew we had booked the right place!!! The Amrit Goa can be found off the main road in a leafy residential street approximately 3 to 5 minute walk from the beach and main road with bars / restaurants. We were immediately made to feel welcome by Catherine the Manager, Ritu & Sanjeev the owners, from this moment on nothing was to much trouble. We were provided with local restaurant ideas and taxis could be booked by reception if needed. Our room was well serviced on a daily basis by the lovely staff. Bottled water, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh bed linen and crisp white towels, just perfect 👌 There was always a good offering at breakfast; traditional Goan dishes, cereals / muesli, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, choice of eggs, all freshly made to order. The grounds of the Amrit Goa are constantly maintained by the friendly staff and make it an oasis to escape to after a long day at the beach or exploring the town. The swimming pool, at a perfect temperature and maintained daily. We loved cooling off here after a day at the beach. We would 100% recommend the Amrit Goa. Thank you ‘Team Amrit’ for a wonderful stay, from two well rested and relaxed travellers.

Candolim Beach can be quite busy, with many tourists, shops and restaurants along the main road. We were therefore pleasantly surprised to find such a calm and quiet place to stay. Although the hotel is only a short walk from the beach and very close to the main street, you hardly notice any of the noise once you are inside. At night in particular, it was completely peaceful, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. Breakfast was freshly prepared every day, tasty and more than sufficient. It was a very good start to the day without being excessive. The staff were consistently polite and helpful. They organised our airport pickup and arranged reliable taxis whenever we needed one, which made everything easy and straightforward. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully designed. It feels well cared for. We also had a very pleasant conversation with the owner, which we truly enjoyed. Overall, it offers a good balance between being in the centre of Candolim and having a quiet retreat. We were very satisfied with our stay and would happily return.

As a general note (not related to the hotel itself), there are quite a few stray dogs in the area, especially at night, which can feel a little intimidating at times. There is also some litter in parts of Candolim, which seems to be a broader issue in Goa rather than specific to this property. This did not affect our stay at the hotel itself, which was excellent.

This was a beautiful oasis located close to beach and the town. The owners and staff were lovely. I feel lucky that we found this place. It was really special.

Nothing, everything was perfect

The staff were incredible, from the hotel owners, to Catherine, the manageress, as well as the other property staff. From a lovely warm welcome with a cool drink, to helping us book trips & excursions. The property is beautiful & the pool is clean and refreshing. A 5 min walk to the beach, & in a quiet gardened area, but close to shops, ATMs, restaurants 5min in the other direction. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

A slightly softer mattress would have been our only feedback, but appreciate that is a personal choice.
