Wonderful staff, friendly, helpful. Superb breakfast, dinner and drinks. Fabulous breakfast, loved the fruit salad and the variety, only disappointment: breakfast coffee was weak, nothing for a coffee lover. Room was comfortable and clean and perfect for the stay. Great variety on the dinner menu, loved every meal. Loved the log fires burning all day.

The very weak breakfast coffee. Room was small.

Friendly helpful staff; clean and comfortable room with everything you need; good food and sociable ambience in the bar area.

Would be good to have a choice of firmer pillows for guests with neck problems.

"Highly Recommend"

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly! They even reserved a table for me for dinner before they knew I intended to eat there. I forgot my phone charger, and one of the staff members got one for me I could use. The food in the pub was lovely! The bed in the room was very comfortable and the wifi was very fast. Breakfast was free and lovely. The hotel is also in a great area for walking, and for a wilderness first aid course I was doing. I would definitely stay again and recommend this place.

This was not the fault of the hotel at all, but there were a few dogs roaming around and I was jumped on by two as their owners were not paying attention or controlling them very well.
