Absolutely top flight place, amazing room, fantastic staff and great atmosphere. A new favourite for this regular stayer in the area.

The bar area and restaurant was bus and warm, a great selection of drinks and good pub food. The outside space was great, especially in the summer months.

I stayed in room 6, which comes with a double and a single bed. However the single bed wasn’t made up, no mattress cover, just a woollen blanket which still exposed the mattress and also no duvet cover, so unhygienic and not as comfortable as I’d hoped. Also in the room there are some really bizarre black and white paintings, which made zero sense and made it feel a bit odd.

Supper was very good, along with excellent service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience and would stay there again. Recommended for an 'olde worlde' experience in a modern setting.

Young restaurant staff referring to 'older' people as 'guys/you guys'. More training about addressing a variety of customers would be a simple solution. Update of bathrooms, particularly showers would be appreciated.
