Nothing not to like

We were attending a wedding nearby and were looking for somewhere to stay for the weekend. Not being a fan of large hotels we came across The Oaks b&b in Swaffham. From the photographs we were instantly taken by the property and surrounding gardens. The location was perfect, A short walking distance to the town but in a quiet cul-de-sac with no noise from the road. The rooms were well appointed, a huge bathroom with bath and shower, a nice, comfortable bedroom with views of the well maintained gardens. The lounge / breakfasting room was very comfortable with sky tv although with the views from our breakfast table of the garden we never switched it on! The breakfasts were sublime. Freshly made bread, locally sourced bacon and sausage, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit. Everything prepared to the highest standard: a perfect way to start the day. Outside we had free roam of the gardens with quiet areas to sit and watch the wildlife. Marcia and John were the perfect hosts. Full of recommendations for local places to eat and visit. We felt very welcome. We couldn't have wished for a better stay.

Our only complaint was we didn't book a longer stay!

We were made very welcome. Room was good, with fabulous bathroom and private lounge. Very easy to get into town and a small shed to store bikes. Breakfast was very good and set us up for the day.

Made to feel very welcome by hosts. Comfortable bed, large bathroom with walk- in shower and roll top bath. Use of private sitting room. Excellent breakfast Very good value.
