The Old Vicarage

Beautiful accommodation and very friendly hosts. Great location if you are at the Dodford Manor wedding venue.

A very fine welcome from host, beautiful building, comfortable bed, hot shower and even had a fridge for cold ( real) milk, rather than awful long life milk which is the usual fare

Nothing at all, excellent stay

We were a group of 13 old friends getting together from different parts of the country for a reunion and Flore was a convenient location, easily accessed by roads and trains from north and south. We occupied the whole property which we had to ourselves. The facilities were spot on for our requirements. We were able to prepare food and all eat together in the same dining room as well as socialise in the old house living space. However it is easy to see how the Old Vicarage could work for smaller parties or those just wanting bed and breakfast. Our hosts were so helpful, friendly, sensitive to our needs and accommodating. Thank you, Patricia and Gerry. All of us said what a great find the Old Vicarage was.

Bedroom 3 skylight had no way to block out light or we didn't know how to. Could have had a small amount of milk in fridge as there were tea and coffee already there.

I had a party at Flore House and it was next door just a minute away. The bed was super comfortable and could have slept for longer but had to leave. Didn’t have breakfast there as don’t eat breakfast but the kitchen facilities were good. There was only 1 cereal bowl which was ok as I was on my own so it didn’t matter. The shower was over the bath and if you have mobility issues may find it a little difficult to step over into the bath- the heated towel rail was lovely- just like home. The village was a 10 min walk away, the shop keeper was very friendly and the cafe/store named RE was lovely for a cup of tea complete with tea cosy! lovely for a short teabreak stop and the hot weather made it even more lovely. I would highly recommend it. .

Beautiful location, huge rooms, flexibility to come and go

There was so much room! Each of us had our own room which was perfect as it was the night before our wedding. The room was big enough so that we could all get ready. The owners were so accommodating and helpful when people went to their house instead of our accommodation.
